YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -

The FBI has joined Youngstown Detectives and the Crime Lab as they are gathering evidence following a robbery of the Home Savings on the East Side.

Thursday afternoon the FBI released surveillance photos of the suspect.

The bank in the Lincoln Knolls Plaza on McCartney Road was robbed after 9 am Thursday.

The FBI tells 21 News that a man with a gun took money from the teller and left on foot.

While no customers were in the bank at the time of the robbery, the bank robber brandished a black handgun, and a shot was fired inside the bank. No injuries were reported.

Investigators are still working on getting a complete description of the suspect, but say he is a black male wearing a navy blue hoodie, a blue bandana, and aqua-colored tennis shoes.

The suspect is thought to be in his 20s, approximately 5'08" and 150 pounds.

The bank robber left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money and was last seen exiting the bank and turning left.

Anyone with information as to the identity of this individual is asked to call Detective Bobby Gentile, Youngstown Police Department, at (330)742-8236, or the Federal Bureau of Investigation at 330-965-2940.
