Space Cloud Amazon services takes

AWS re:Invent is an annual conference for the global cloud computing community. AWS noted that achieving the AWS IoT Service Delivery designation for AWS IoT Core differentiates Klika Tech as an AWS Partner Network (APN) member that provides specialized, demonstrated technical proficiency and proven customer success in delivering AWS solutions.

That's what went down at re:Invent on Monday night, when the world's largest cloud provider AWS announced that renting Arm servers at low costs is now a reality. With its new AWS Ground Station, Amazon is inviting space and other companies to use a managed network of 12 ground station antennas stationed around the world.

"AWS RoboMaker provides prebuilt functionality to support robotics developers during their entire project, making it significantly easier to build robots, simulate performance in various environments, iterate faster, and drive greater innovation", Barga added. "You can lease them and pay for it by the minute", Jassy said.

Integrating the hardware with AWS Ground Station, Ambrose said, would "increase customer capabilities and experiences". Satellite operators use ground stations to send data back and forth into orbit and require a specialized array of antennas, computing infrastructure and networks.

Cristóbal Miralles, chief technology and operating officer, Openbank, says: "AWS enabled us to launch a secure and reliable digital bank in a multinational environment, complying with European regulation in record time".

CNN Fires Contributor Over Israel Comments
Hill was challenged with this on Twitter. "My reference to "river to the sea" was not a call to destroy anything or anyone. Tensions between the Israelis and the Palestinians near the Gaza border have been mounting since late March.

United States life expectancy drops, overdoses climb - govt report
Increases have been prominent among the female population despite the fact that most people who die by suicide are still male. Drug overdose deaths among USA residents totaled 70,237 in 2017, almost 6,600 more than in 2016, a government report finds.

Microsoft wins $480-million US Army contract
The US Army has revealed that Microsoft has won a contract worth $480 million to supply prototype augmented reality equipment. The company will also need to be ready to go into full-scale production.

Furthermore, customers would need antennas in multiple countries to download data as ground stations need to wait for a satellite to pass over the desired location before being able to downlink. AWS Ground Station, the company believes, could aid timely downlink without the need to buy or maintain expensive infrastructure. Their satellite receivers will connect directly to AWS Ground Stations, managing data downloads in real time and meeting unexpected demand. For AWS customers in the government or regulated industries, this includes the AWS GovCloud and Secret Regions that carry the full range of data classifications, including Unclassified, Sensitive, Secret, and Top Secret. It said the new AWS Africa (Cape Town) region will consist of three availability zones.

"With this new system, the image will be crystal clear and this will be crucial for application in autonomous vehicles", Scott said.

The data retrieved from satellites will be stored in Amazon's private cloud, and Amazon is partnering with some satellite companies including DigitalGlobe, Spire Global, HawkEye360 and BlackSky to boost the growing market of satellite-related business.

Both Lockheed Martin "Verge" and AWS Ground Station customers can now integrate satellite data with the rich portfolio of AWS services, including compute, storage, analytic, and Machine Learning. By using its own chips, though, Amazon says it can lower costs by as much as 45 percent, depending on the technological workload.

With the AWS Ground Station's self-service graphical interface, users can easily see where antennas are located, identify communications windows, and schedule antenna time. This access would be available even during unplanned outages such as a weather event, the companies said.
