Kawhi Leonard Agrees To Lucrative Shoe Contract With This Company

New Balance is looking to "re-establish itself in the basketball market" by having Leonard as the face of the brand, reports Haynes.

The star forward of the Toronto Raptors has inked a multiyear endorsement deal with the Boston-based athletic brand, according to a Yahoo!

Leonard, 27, previously had a shoe deal with Jordan Brand but left the company in October. Leonard will join National Basketball Association prospect Darius Bazley, who is now working for New Balance as an intern. "Me and New Balance haven't announced anything".

Set to be the face of New Balance Basketball as part of the partnership, Leonard turned down an extension with Nike's Jordan Brand in order to "become a sneaker free agent" earlier in the year, per Haynes.

In his first year with the Raptors, Kawhi is averaging 24.3 points, 8.6 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.8 steals per game while leading Toronto to an NBA-best 18-4 record.

Leonard is now averaging 24.3 points, 8.6 rebounds and 1.8 steals.

Kawhi Leonard has had quite the 2018 but as the year comes a close, it appears that the final chapter in his messy story is wrapping up.
