Kids Summer safety Camp Cops

JUNEAU -- The Dodge County UW-Extension office is offering its annual Kids, Cops, and Canines Summer Safety Day Camp. This year, the day camp will be held on Aug. 1 at the Dodge County Fairgrounds. Camp starts at 8:30 a.m. and will run until 2 p.m.

Kids, Cops, and Canines is open to all youths in Dodge County and surrounding areas in grades K5-third (ages 5-9). Youths will have the opportunity to learn about summer safety with local police officers and their K-9 units. Learning session topics tentatively include canines, water safety, bike safety, summer safety, outdoor safety, and 911 safety.

Activities, lunch, and a T-shirt are included in program costs. Please ensure that the child has tennis shoes, transportation to the fairgrounds, and have sunscreen applied before coming to camp. The day camp will take place rain or shine, so make sure the child is dressed appropriately.

Registration is due July 25. To register for this event, please submit a registration form (one per family), a health form (one per camper), and a check ($5 per camper) to Dodge County UW-Extension, 127 E. Oak St., Juneau, WI 53039. Make checks payable to "Shop with the Cops." Registration is non-refundable. This day camp program is conducted by professional youth workers, volunteer youths and volunteer adults involved in 4-H. Dodge County Law Enforcement, "Shop with the Cops" co-sponsors this event.
