The Capital City Arts Initiative [CCAI] presents its exhibition, "Pocket Ziggurat", by artist Chelsea Pegram at the CCAI Courthouse Gallery. The exhibit will be in the gallery from October 7, 2016 - January 19, 2017. The Courthouse is located at 885 E Musser Street, Carson City. The exhibition is free and the public is cordially invited. The gallery is open to the public Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm.

This Saturday, Nov. 19 from 5 PM to 9 PM Team Hope will be hosting a fundraiser to benefit the Relay for Life of Carson City/Douglas County at Pizza Factory in Minden. Pizza Factory will donate a portion of the proceeds from the evening to the Relay for Life.

Meet in the south parking lot for Fremont School on Saliman Road next to the Linear Ditch Trail.
Ride is free and will normally consist of two loops which are 10-15 miles long each, this will allow a rider to do 10-15 miles or 20-30 miles depending on the loops. The ride pace will vary depending on rider level, but will usually be about a 12-16 mph pace. This is a no drop ride. Please feel free to email Shane at shane@shanetrotter.net if you have any questions about the ride. All riders must have a bicycle in safe working condition, helmet, and close toed shoes.

Carson City area road report for week of Nov. 21

The Capital City Arts Initiative announces its exhibition, "High School Pic[ks] 1", at the Community Development Building [the Brick], 108 E Proctor Street, Carson City.

Sixteen high school student artists from Carson, Dayton, and Douglas high schools have work in the exhibit. CCAI will host a reception for the artists on Tuesday, September 13 from 5:30-7pm at the Brick. The free exhibition is available to the public from September 1 - November 29, 2016.
