There are still plenty of questions surrounding the recovery of those famous ruby slippers from the Wizard of Oz Movie.

Following a year-long investigation, The FBI announced Tuesday it had recovered the iconic shoes valued between two and five million dollars.

The agency says a man approached the company that had insured the shoes and said he had information about how the shoes could be returned.

The FBI says it has multiple suspects in the extortion.

As of Wednesday, we still don't know where or how the shoes were found, who is behind the heist, or if the shoes will be returned to the Judy Garland Museum in Grand Rapids.

"Hopefully we'll be able to get them back here at some point, but with the insurance company and who has ownership, that's going to be a lot to tangle out," said Jamie Coffel, who serves on the museum's board of directors.

The slippers were donated to the museum by private collector Michael Shaw.
