Littleton Lake Gaston Festival

LITTLETON — The Littleton Lake Gaston Festival will be held Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 on Main Street. There will be live beach music and dancing, more than 90 craft and information booths, stage entertainment, food vendors, Littleton Lions Club barbecue plates, rides and amusements. A Friday Night Street Dance will be from 7 to 10 p.m. featuring Steve Owens and and Summertime band. If it rains, they will play at the Littleton Community Center on Oak Street. Owens is a local resident with a wide following in the beach and contemporary music. The street dance is free and open to the public. Food vendors will be on site and barbecue plates and sandwiches will be available for purchase.

The festival opens at 10 a.m. that Saturday and will run until 4 p.m. Fun for the whole family includes the Classic Car Show, carnival rides, entertainment throughout the day, craft and food vendors, and vision screenings. For more information, call 252-586-6828 or visit littletonlionsclubnc.com.

Scotland Neck Annual Classic Car Show

SCOTLAND NECK — The auto enthusiast can get his or her fix at the Annual Car Show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 8 at The Town Commons, 1310 Main St. Dozens of cars, ranging form vintage, muscle and, of course, classic cars will be featured. The car show will have vehicles dating back to the 1930s, classic pickup trucks, motorcycles and even tractors. Admission is free.
