NORTH COVENTRY >> North Coventry Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a burglary suspect.

Police said in a post that they are trying to identify a suspect in the burglary of the Coventry Ice Cream Parlor, 653 Laurelwood Road. Police responded to the store at around 7 a.m. on Aug. 4 and were told that at 9:27 p.m. on Aug. 3, an unknown person broke into the business. The man broke the front glass door with a hammer to gain access to the store.

The suspect is described as approximately 6 feet tall and wearing a baseball hat, long-sleeve shirt, sweat pants, black flip flops and a T-shirt that was covering his face.

Police did not disclose if anything was taken from the business.
